Attorney Hughes has over 12 years experience as a law enforcement officer, which encompasses all areas including routine patrol, motor/traffic officer and investigations. Mr. Hughes' detective experience began with the Major Crimes Control Division's general property crimes before specializing in robbery/homicide and cold case homicide. Mr. Hughes has specialized investigative training in homicide, violent fugitive apprehension, cold case homicides and advanced interview and interrogation techniques.
After graduating from Mississippi College School of Law in 2005, Mr. Hughes began his legal career in the First Judicial Circuit State Attorney's Office as an Assistant State Attorney (prosecutor). After only a short time Mr. Hughes was promoted the Felony Prosecutions and later to Special Prosecutions where he specialized in the investigation and prosecution of organized crimes, white collar crimes and consumer fraud.
Mr. Hughes' military career in the United States Marine Corps coupled with his professional career path, provides for a tenacious and aggressive representative who is prepared to put this training and experience to work for you.
